Foundation Course
Foundation Course is understanding the basic forms and fundamentals of drawing and
designing . This course is a pre-requisite for students who further wish to pursue their interest in Applied Art or Textile Designing.
Diploma Applied Art
This course in Art, Advertising and Graphic Design, is an intensive and creative programme which serves as an effective educational platform for students. They are trained according to the professional ethics of the advertising world all through their four years.
Diploma Textile Design
In Textile Designing student is taught to appreciate and develop her own values and design concepts in traditional and contemporary processes, using their resourcefulness and imagination.

Introduction to Sophia Arts
Art and Design Department, Sophia Polytechnic Located in the heart of Mumbai, the Art and Design Department at Sophia Polytechnic offers courses recognized by the Directorate of Art, Government of Maharashtra, and affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Art Education, Mumbai. We provide a vibrant atmosphere where young creatives can learn, develop, and explore their talents in the visual arts. Our department offers a one-year Foundation course, a four-year Applied Art course, and a two-year Textile Design course.

Urdhva Mula
Releasing hope and energy, the Sophia emblem is replete with Indian symbols. It consists of lotus petals framed in a ring of pearls, in the heart of which lies a tree with its roots upwards. The pearl orbit with its calm shimmer reveals intelligence arising from still waters; the blooming lotus petals radiate the pure light of knowledge. The tree implies zest, evolution, energy and security. Urdhav Mula (Roots Upwards') holds the essence of the emblem. The roots of the tree reaching upwards signify that the origin of all is in God.
